THIS IS A REAL MESSAGE ABOUT WHAT IS HAPPENING IN IRAQ: “We lost the city of Queragosh (Qaraqosh). It fell to ISIS and they are beheading children systematically. This is the city we have been smuggling food too. ISIS has pushed back Peshmerga (Kurdish forces) and is within 10 minutes of where our CRI team is working. Thousands more fled into the city of Erbil last night. The UN evacuated it’s staff in Erbil. Our team is unmoved and will stay. Prayer cover needed!”

Please pray sincerely for the deliverance of the people of Northern Iraq from the terrible advancement of ISIS and its extreme Islamic goals for mass conversion or death for Christians across this region.

May I plead with you not to ignore this email. Do not forward it before you have prayed through it. Then send it to as many people as possible.

Send it to friends and Christians you may know. Send it to your prayer group. Send it to your pastor and phone him/her to pray on Sunday during the service – making a special time of prayer for this. We need to stand in the gap for our fellow Christians.
God Bless You~

FROM JACK: This is a request for prayer from God’s people, so please do that. On this thread, please refrain from being political.

Blessed is the man whose sin the LORD does not count against him and
in whose spirit is no deceit.
Psalm 32:2.

I am continually amazed at how candidates are positioned on issues by
their politically savvy staffs. Take Barack Obama’s position on Middle
Eastern issues for example.

The war in Iraq is going well and within inches of being
successful—finally. This should be a cause for celebration for Obama,
but it isn’t. It’s in his best interest for us to be losing. It’s what
his most loyal supporters want, and they expect him to cast victory
aside and produce defeat. That’s why Obama will not say the surge has
been successful. He can’t champion victory, and his staff will not
permit him to admit the obvious.

Could you imagine the World War II generation rooting for Hitler to
win?  Of course not, but that’s what we have today. Millions in our own
nation want us to fail. Actually, it’s more than that. They demand
failure, and their champion is Barack Obama. That’s how radical he
really is.

Because this is not popular with enough Americans to win the
presidency, his staff has also tried to modify his position slightly,
especially his kindred spirit with Muslims and his antipathy for Jews.
In his speeches, he is being positioned to deceive voters about who he
really is. Because he is charismatic and very articulate, millions
believe what he says instead of who he is. In politics, this is called
good positioning. In God’s Word, it’s called having a deceitful spirit,
which God will not bless.

British officials gave a survey to eighteen hundred Muslim students in the UK. They discovered one-out-of-three believed killing in the name of Islam was justified. It also came to light that 40 percent wanted Islamic Law imposes in the UK. Could you see Princess Diana in a berka? Those who took this survey were shocked by the results.

What is really shocking is not the results of the survey but the surprise of those who took it. The encroachment of Islam is a serious problem in the UK, and it’s even a bigger one in France. In our lifetime, we could see the Cathedral of Notre Dame become a mosque. The French haven’t taken seriously what’s been happening until quite recently, and now it may be too late. The roots of Islam run deep in France—all because nobody was paying attention. It’s happening in the UK as well, where the Brits have also been asleep at the wheel.

The United States is next and, if we’re not mindful, we’ll elect a President that will welcome Muslims with open arms. Barack Obama’s “Christianity,” which he learned at the feet of a militant proponent of Black Liberation Theology, favors Muslims over Jews. At the same time, Jewish voters, who traditionally vote for democratic candidates, foolishly support Obama’s candidacy.

Unless the Jewish community wakes up, which is doubtful, they will hand the presidency to Obama. In swing states like Florida and Pennsylvania, the Jewish vote may well be the deciding factor, and Obama can’t win unless he carries at least one of these states—maybe both of them.

Isn’t it ironic? The Jewish community, whose naïveté rivals that of the French and British, may sow the seeds of destruction for America, as well as Israel.

Yesterday, at a rally, two Muslim women, who were sitting behind Barack Obama, were asked to move because they would be in plain view of the cameras that provide shots for the evening news. Hurt and offended, the woman complied and moved.

This, of course, made more news than if they had been allowed to stay. As I watched the morning news, each news person said that Obama was not a closet Muslim but a Christian, which his twenty-year membership at Trinity Church proved.

By saying this, the media, who knows no better, has imparted legitimacy upon Trinity, Jeremiah Wright, and Black Liberation Theology. Obama’s religious experience has become mainstream, or we’re supposed to accept that it’s mainstream.

Well, it isn’t–not even close. It’s more Marxist than Christian, and Obama has been infected with its poisonous worldview. He is not a Muslim, but his Christianity is skewed by twenty years of Jeremiah Wright’s twisted theology, which is an angry, racist distortion of the Truth.

To assume Obama can “bring us all together” is naive. It simply can’t happen–not based on his belief system. His supporters want it to happen, but it won’t because it’s not in him. His Christianity is not mainstream; it’s that simple.

Refer to Step 3: I accepted that the responsibility for getting back on track was mine and no one else’s.

Between now and the election next November, we will hear a great deal about how Barack Obama perceives the world. Most of it, however, will be carefully filtered through his sophisticated campaign staff. It’s like that for every presidential candidate. At the same time, those of us recovering from religious abuse will listen to what he has to say through our filter as well.

If I’m correct about the strength of Jeremiah Wright’s influence upon him, it will come out in moments of candor. Some will refer to moments like these as gaffes. That’s not what they are! Instead, they reveal the inner working of Barack Obama’s worldview—and Michelle Obama’s as well.

The gaffe he made about his uncle liberating Auschwitz instead of the other concentration camp was actually encouraging. At least he recognizes the Holocaust actually happened, which Farrakhan and other Muslims deny.

In the days ahead, look for what he might say about the following:

Israel—and our commitment to it
Islamic nations—and how America should relate to them
Racism—should African-Americans be considered victims?
Christ—does Obama view Him like Wright does?

If you pay attention, Obama will reveal himself clearly, and you can make an informed decision about his suitability as Commander-in-Chief.

I thought the tone throughout the New Testament was one that gave the idea that people will know you are a Christian by how you love, not by how you die. I thought II Corinthians 13 pretty much made it clear that giving your life to be burned didn’t mean near as much as to love.

You’ve touched a sensitive cord with me, and I sort of know what I’m talking about. The spiritual abuse issue? Yep… been there–16 years in a Christian cult. Alcoholic? Yep… almost 4 years sober (keep coming back, it works if you work it). I felt your dying for Jesus article had the same tone that you accused the preachers in having in your financial giving to Jesus article.

It’s taken me years and years and years just to come into the truth that JESUS LIKES ME… a greater miracle is I actually like Him now.

Figuratively speaking, my former church leaders did hold a gun to my children’s head, and I let them pull the trigger. I didn’t protect them from the spiritual abuse, the fear tactics, the manipulation – which were all bullets from the enemy. At the time, I thought it was God.

Did the fellow in your home group know you wrote about his “weak faith”? I wonder how condemned he feels at the moment. I wonder if he’s feeling like a loser now… not just in your very spiritual home group but to all the 100’s (?) of folks who get your emails. It’s bad enough that a good many of us “soldiers of the cross” get up in the morning and wonder stuff like: I hope I can stay sober today for Jesus, or be at work today on time for Jesus, or …. fill in the blank…. for Jesus, let alone wondering if I’m strong enough to let my kids take a bullet from a Muslim for Jesus.

I’m right about this; you know I am (to quote you).

So, that’s my 2 cents worth. I’ve wanted to write to you for a while now to tell you how much I’ve enjoyed your site and how helpful it’s been. I’m sorry that in the end this is the email that I’ve felt compelled to write. Chances are I’m totally off base – after all, I did spend 16 years in a totally off base church.

Let me try again. I think that maybe I might be right about this… maybe not, who knows.

Samantha’s comments stung. Whenever that happens, I know there must be some truth to it. At bare minimum, I want to be like FOX NEWS–fair and balanced.

More on Monday,
